ArchivesGastineau Girls debuts on E! tonight.
A new, alleged “celebrity” reality show debuts on E! tonight at 10 p.m. ET. However, Lisa and Brittny, the stars of Gastineau Girls, are so unknown that E! doesn’t even bother to identify them or describe the show on its web site. The New York Daily News’ Richard Huff, who gives the show zero stars, helpfully IDs them: “Lisa was once married to former New York Jets superstar Mark Gastineau. They divorced years ago, and the Gastineau girls have been living off Lisa’s settlement since.” He writes, “There is nothing redeemable here, no character to root for or even identify with, unless, that is, you too so crave attention that you’re willing to do anything.” In other words, Paris Hilton finally has a show she can watch. The New York Post says the series is a “train wreck” that’s “horrifyingly riveting,” and is essentially “‘The Gilmore Girls’ without the witty dialogue.”
