We’re in the middle of an influx of new shows, with five major series kicking off this week and next. Those of you with electricity can enjoy these new shows:

  • The Next Great Champ kicked off its well-known but barely advertised run Tuesday on FOX, and reairs Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
  • The Real World Philadelphia also began yesterday, but since this latest season of reality TV’s grandparent airs on MTV, it will of course be repeated 1,252 times before next week.
  • The Apprentice 2 takes over Thursday nights on NBC starting with a 90-minute debut Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET. The debut also repeats Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

  • On Monday, ABC’s new series The Benefactor debuts at 8 p.m. ET, as Mark Cuban meets the 16 people who will vie for $1 million of his fortune.

  • Survivor Vanuatu launches a week from tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET, sharing Thursday evenings with The Apprentice 2.
