“hoax” Superstar USA debuts tonight.
The WB’s self-described “elaborate hoax” Superstar USA debuts tonight. Over seven episodes, singers will perform in front of judges Vitamin C, Tone Loc, and Chris Briggs; those who suck the most will be advanced in the competition after being told that they’re great. The 12 finalists will “receive superstar treatment - complete with makeovers, dance sessions with a top choreographer, and singing lessons with a respected voice coach.” The worst singer will ultimately win $100,000—after being told that they really suck. The show airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
