NBC’s Next Action Star ended its run last night after skipping an episode, and Corinne Van Ryck de Groot and Sean Carrigan were named the new action stars. They’ll star in the made-for-TV movie “Bet Your Life” next Wednesday on NBC, and each get $25,000. The Ottawa Sun talks to Corinne, who was a former Ottawa cop, and who says she’d “never” do a show like this again; she’s moving to LA to take acting classes, and “said agents have been calling and she’s already lined up one business deal to market exercise videos and clothing.” By the way, NBC has helpfully posted a recap for episode nine, which never aired.
