Married by America debuts tonight.
Yet again a reality TV show will serve as matchmaker and create five new couples, but this time, the couples won’t even meet until they’re engaged. That’s the premise of FOX’s Married by America, debuting tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The three-hour debut will air for two hours tonight and conclude tomorrow night at 9 p.m.; then the show moves to Mondays at 9 p.m. Viewers and family members and friends of the singles will participate in the matchmaking process. The couples will get engaged next Monday and then the show “will follow each couple as they live together and plan a wedding before deciding whether to marry,” according to USA TODAY. The show’s producer says “60 percent of marriages around the world are arranged” and that made him wonder, “Can you learn to love?”, The Arizona Republic reports.
