now in its first season, ESPN’s Beg, Borrow & Deal is casting for season two.
A few weeks ago (oops!) ESPN debuted Beg, Borrow & Deal, a show that’s sort of like Lost or The Amazing Race, except it takes place in the US and involves sports. Two teams of four “were dropped off in Times Square New York City without any money, credit cards or any other resources” and they have to “complete 10 tasks from a list of 40 and get to Al Capone’s cell on Alcatraz Island.” The tasks are sports-related—for example, “be a cheerleader for an NBA team during a regulation NBA game” or “work in the pit crew of a NASCAR team during a NASCAR race”—and the teams have to abide by certain rules governing their begging, borrowing, and dealing. The winners get tickets to four championship sporting events next year. ESPN is currently looking for contestants for a second season of the show.
