The Real World Chicago was the fifth-most watched show on basic cable last week, drawing viewers in 2.82 million homes. It was beaten by WWF Raw and two TV movies, but beat an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants by 60,000 homes. The Amazing Race 2 premiered with 22 percent fewer viewers in certain demographics than The Amazing Race did last fall. Nine million viewers watched on Monday, which, of course, is a completely different night and time than it will normally air. But with Survivor Marquesas’ lead-in on Wednesday, it rebounded, watched by 12.5 million viewers—its “best-ever ratings for a regularly scheduled episode,” Variety reports. Survivor Marquesas did pretty well itself on a different night; although down from its Thursday night averages, it won its hour with 20.46 million viewers.
