EW rates summer reality TV.
Using a scale of “couch potatoes,” Entertainment Weekly evaluates the summer’s slate of reality TV and reality-based game shows. The Mole 2 gets four couch potatoes (“hard habit to kick”) for having a “creative premise gives it far more staying power than its already tiring competitor” (American Idol). That show gets the same score, mostly because of Simon (“Can you imagine the happy-shiny mess this would be without him?”). Big Brother 3 gets a lower score, three potatoes (“attention-worthy”) for being “only as strong as the cast’s personalities.”
