where are they now?
Us Weekly’s Aug. 20 issue includes a wrap-up of updates about past reality TV show participants. Highlights: Boot Camp’s Jennifer Whitlow “splurged on flying lessons” for her husband and “a $2,500 bicycle for herself.” Temptation Island’s Kaya Wittenberg, in addition to participating in and recording a rock song for the unofficial Cannonball Run 2001 soundtrack, is still with Valerie; they live in LA where he’s “taking voice, acting and kickboxing lessons.” Survivor 2’s Tina Wesson helped pay off her best friend’s debt, bought a new house, and has been making appearances across the country. Her Survivor 1 counterpart, Richard Hatch, has hosted the morning show on Boston’s Star 93.7 FM since January, and he’ll “be on half of the first gay coupling on TV’s Blind Date later this year.” The Mole’s mole Kathryn Price “turned down a teaching fellowship at the University of Chicago Law School to work” as a writer for The Mole 2; she got married days before she left to work on the new show. And Big Brother 2’s expelled house guest Justin Sebik “recently began dating an old girlfriend. She is, he says, ‘something to hit every now and then—but not hit as far as socking her,’ he quickly adds.”
+ elsewhere: The Real World LA’s Glen Naessens is restoring a historic house he bought in Roslyn, PA, this weekend; the event will be taped by PBS and a film crew for an upcoming documentary. And Jerri Manthey’s Playboy appearance helped her become the first reality TV contestant to appear on the Lycos 50.
