On the Lot

FOX cuts On the Lot to one episode per week

After two weeks of disappointing ratings for its rapidly devolving series On the Lot, FOX has cut the show back from two nights to a single night.

FOX “will now condense its competition and results shows into one weekly one-hour program, airing Tuesdays at 8:00/7:00c starting June 5,” The Futon Critic reports.

How exactly they will combine the performance and results shows isn’t clear; maybe viewers will vote live, or perhaps the results will be for the previous week’s competition. At least this prevents them from repeating the first ridiculously boring results show.

The site breaks down the new schedule, which changes for a two-night finale that airs August 13 and 14. But seriously: Is the show going to make it that long?
