FOX and Endemol have wrapped production on their boxing series The Next Great Champ. “Worried that the winner of the competish might leak out in advance,” Variety reports, “Fox and Endemol taped several different title fights without telling the live audience if the bout was real. What’s more, in some cases, more than one winner was announced, all to further confuse would-be leakers.” A FOX insider told Variety that they’re “being very, very careful” because “The competition has proven they’ll do anything.” So says the network that borrowed the idea from NBC. The show will air this fall, possibly earlier than the previously announced starting month of October.
