Next Great American Band watched by only 3.6 million viewers
The two-hour premiere of The Next Great American Band, which seemed set up to fail, is officially not the next American Idol.
The show debuted with just 3.6 million viewers, which Variety reports is “no worse than the net had been faring on the night with entertainment programming this fall.” And it’s better than FOX’s On the Lot’s low ratings, and the network stuck with that show through its end. And the show did “[grow] with each half-hour.” Still, FOX came in second to The CW, which aired wrestling.
Assuming FOX doesn’t cancel it, The Next Great American Band is currently scheduled to conclude Dec. 21.
