Next Food Network Star

Next Food Network Star 4 finale was the channel’s most-watched show ever; Aaron’s show debuts Sunday

Food Network’s web site screw-up that revealed the show’s winner days before the finale didn’t hurt the final episode’s ratings, as it became “the highest-rated, most-watched telecast in [the channel’s] history,” according to a Food Network press release.

An average of 4 million people watched Aaron McCargo, Jr., win his own show, Big Daddy’s House, which will debut immediately: this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Among viewers ages 25 to 54, Food Network’s target demographic, the finale was up 27 percent compared to last season’s, which also set records for the network.

Compared to season three, this season did better, as it was “up 3 percent in households and 12 percent in adults 25-54, making it the highest-rated series in Food Network history.” The fourth season already set records by having the network’s biggest debut ever. In other words, expect season five soon.
