Jessica Simpson’s dad is pimping out his other daughter to MTV. Jessica’s sister Ashlee will star in her own reality TV show, curiously titled Ashlee. Like Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, the new six-episode series is produced by their father and manager, Joe Simpson. It “will show people all the hard work it takes to cut an album, and I’m excited for everyone to see this and live it right along with me,” Ashlee says. In Washington at a Ford’s Theatre fundraiser, her sister Jessica was mentioned by President George W. Bush, who said, “Jessica Simpson is here with us, which means we’ve finally introduced reality TV to the Lincoln Theater,” the Washington Post reports. Sadly, they were in Ford’s Theatre, where Lincoln was shot. Not to be outdone, especially by the President, Jessica told Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton, “You’ve done a nice job decorating the White House.”
