second season of Newlyweds continues, Ashlee Simpson’s show debuts tonight.
The Simpson sisters and their dad own the 10 p.m. hour Wednesdays on MTV starting tonight. First, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica returns for a third season. Apparently, it’s a bit rougher this time, as The New York Post reports that “there’s some trouble in paradise” because Nick “has to cope with CaCee Cobb, Simpson’s best friend and road manager, who moves in with the couple while she’s looking for an apartment.” At 10:30, Jessica’s sister takes over with her new show, oddly titled The Ashlee Simpson Show. The series follows the former 7th Heaven star “as she signs her first record deal, writes her songs, auditions her band and records her very first album.”
