Murder in Small Town X

Murder Game “a radical reworking of…Murder in Small Town X.”

Murder Game “a radical reworking of…Murder in Small Town X.”
In late 2001 the BBC purchased the rights to FOX’s Murder in Small Town X format, which is set to debut soon. But it represents “a radical reworking of the Murder in Small Town X format,” a BBC spokesperson tells MediaGuardian. “In the US they put a much bigger emphasis on the dramatic side and the relationships between the investigators. We’ve gone much bigger on the investigation.” Still, the format, as developed by former UK Big Brother producer Conrad Green, sounds familiar: over eight episodes “10 contestants must solve a fictional murder and avoid being bumped off themselves to win a £25,000 prize”; they’ll interact with actors as part of the game.
