ArchivesThe five-member all-female group formed on last season of Making the Band 3 has a name: Danity Kane. The group appeared on MTV’s TRL last month and revealed the name.
Entertainment Weekly’s Kate Sullivan points out that the name is “the name of a female anime superhero Dawn draws,” but says that as a group name, it’s “worse than Dream. That’s worse than the WB’s Popstars band, Eden’s Crush. (Well, maybe not.)”
Their first single, “Show Stopper,” also debuted last month, and is available on the group’s MySpace page. The third season of the show is currently airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. The fourth episode airs tomorrow night; the last two repeat starting at 8.
