ArchivesAfter he dumped most of the Making the Band 3 contestants five months ago, P Diddy returns tonight with a mostly new cast. The new season of the show debuts at 10 p.m. ET. 21 women will compete to form a new girl group; only three of them, Aubrey, Aundrea and Malika, survived from last season.
The AP’s new youngin’-focused asap sent Derrik Lang to rehearsals, where he found that the new group “ain’t bad.” The choreographer and vocal coach both said they “insist on no resetting this time around. They say there’s enough talent in the remaining finalists to form multiple all-girl groups.”
Vocal coach Doc Holliday told asap, “We’ve got people in here who can actually play instruments. Last time, we didn’t have that level. I refused to come back to this situation without at least a shot at getting a band.”
