P Diddy rejects most candidates; casting begins as season three continues.
Fake out! We thought Making the Band 3 was coming to an end, but alas, P Diddy wasn’t happy with his options. So now, all but three contestants—Aubrey, Aundrea, and Malika—will go home, and open casting calls begin May 19 in New York. The second season of Making the Band 3 will kick off in the fourth quarter, Variety says; the paper also reports that “the show ranked No. 1 in its timeslot among viewers 12-34,” so it’s clear why they’re keeping it around.
