Although the musical acts born on the first two seasons of Making the Band ultimately dissolved—Remember the days of Ikaika drama and neverending footage of Ashley Parker Angel in the shower? Neither do I.—MTV is bringing the series back. Making the Band 3 will, like the second season, be led by P. Diddy. This time, though, he’ll form an all-female group. An MTV exec tells the AP, “We watched P. Diddy work magic with his last group Da Band, who despite their issues working together, still managed to take their very first album gold. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us as he forms a girl group in a whole new music genre.” New York, LA, and Miami auditions will be held in October.
