P. Diddy replaces Lou Pearlman as the man searching for a group of performers as Making the Band 2 premieres Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET. The show starts with 20 semi-finalists; they’ll be narrowed to eight finalists, who will live together in a house located in New York’s West Side as they compete for spots in a hip-hop group. “This show will be a wild ride, no tricks or gimmicks, just P. Diddy reality,” he told Entertainment Tonight. Producer Jon Murray said the cast members “are kids who don’t normally get on TV. They are from tough, urban neighborhoods,” the NY Daily News reports.
