commentary: “Love Cruise sank. Can networks keep ‘reality’ shows afloat?”
The debut of Love Cruise was seen by only 6 million people, prompting The Washington Post’s Lisa de Moraes to overreact and suggest that the attacks “may have destroyed viewer taste for some of the more vapid reality programs.” That may be true for some people, but she ignores Big Brother 2’s finale’s higher-than-ever-before ratings and other evidence, however.
