Last Comic Standing judge Greg Giraldo died
Last Comic Standing 7 judge Greg Giraldo died today as a result of a drug overdose.
His friend Jim Norton wrote on Twitter late this afternoon that Greg “passed away today.” Someone close to him told TMZ, “Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose. His family was by his side.”
The comic, who has also appeared frequently on Comedy Central and Howard Stern, was hospitalized Saturday after “an accidental overdose” which left him “in critical condition,” someone at his management company, The Collective, told the New York Post. Saturday night, “[p]aramedics had to resuscitate an unconscious Giraldo … after what sources said was a wild party in his room at the Hilton East Brunswick in New Jersey,” the paper reported.
