ArchivesLast Comic Standing host Jay Mohr wasn’t shy about commenting on the half-assed third season of the show and NBC’s decision to cancel it.
And now that NBC renewed the show, Mohr has been replaced, by comic Anthony Clark.
An NBC press release about Clark’s hiring doesn’t mention the firing nor the fact that the show previously had a different host. Instead, it just praises Clark.
Craig Plestis, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming and Development. For example, NBC VP Craig Plestis says, “Anthony is a very funny comedian whose engaging wit and personality have made him a favorite with audiences. We’re delighted to have him host the show when it returns to NBC this summer.”
And they’ll be delighted to have him host a possible fifth season, assuming he keeps his mouth shut.
