Last Comic Standing 4

Kathy Griffin, Garry Marshall, Tim Meadows will guest judge Last Comic Standing 4

NBC has revealed the celebrity judges for Last Comic Standing 4, and at least one is no stranger to reality television. Kathy Griffin will judge the contestants along with Garry Marshall and Tim Meadows. They’ll apparently only “appear on two special ‘semi-finals’ episodes to help choose the top comedians who ultimately make it into the ‘house,’” NBC says in a press release.

For this new season, which debuts May 30, NBC also promises “[o]utrageous contests, surprise guests and unexpected twists and turns.” One of those twists: Instead of living in an actual house during the competition, the comedians will live on board “the Queen Mary — the famous luxury ocean liner docked in Long Beach, CA,” according to the press release.

The network doesn’t explain why they’ll live on a ship, although since it’s basically a tourist attraction, this sounds like elaborate product placement. Perhaps Donald Trump will learn from the example and have The Apprentice 6 contestants live in a FedEx truck or something.
