Right after being voted off Last Comic Standing 3, comedian Ralphie May says that “[t]he whole show is a joke,” and he doesn’t mean a ha-ha joke, either. He tells the AP, “The viewership’s gone down the hill, and the show has jumped the shark.” He also says, non-ironically, that “I don’t have respect for audiences that laugh at ‘Remember when you were a kid?’ jokes. … Let’s move on, let’s try something new.” He clearly is pissed that his appearance on two seasons of the show has left him with no other options but to hawk a DVD (Ralphie May: Just Correct) and CD (Just Correct, “[tour] comedy clubs and theaters across the country,” “[write] a movie for MGM and [develop] a cartoon featuring a fat superhero named ‘Supperman.’”
