ArchivesLaguna Beach star Jessica Smith “was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a crash on the northbound San Diego (I-5) Freeway on Monday,” the OC Register reports.
She “crashed a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle into the back of a 2003 Acura MDX after she couldn’t slow down in time, a California Highway Patrol report said. The CHP report said that her level of intoxication, unsafe speeds and wet roadways were conditions that led to the crash,” according to the Register.
The driver of the other car and a passenger in her car both had minor injuries. Jessica “is being held at the Orange County Jail Women’s Intake Release Center in lieu of $100,000 bail. She’s scheduled for an arraignment at the Harbor Justice Center on Wednesday,” the paper says.
