The two new reality series that debuted last night “delivered similarly solid but unspectacular” ratings, Variety reports.
In its debut, Kid Nation was watched by 9.1 million viewers, about a half-million more than watched Big Brother 8’s finale the night before. The new CBS series also “won the 8 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 — and kids 2-11,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
At 9, Kitchen Nightmares was watched by 6.6 million viewers, and it “built nicely in its second half-hour,” Variety says. While Last Comic Standing 5’s finale was watched by 7.1 million viewers, Gordon Ramsay had more viewers ages 18 to 49, according to THR.
