Jon Gosselin fails to mock himself in not-very-funny Funny or Die video

I’m not sure Jon Gosselin has earned the right to mock himself yet, but that’s what he tries to do in this Funny or Die video. I’m also not sure it’s funny or even satirical.

In the video, Jon says, “I just want to go back to the normal, simple life like I used to have,” and then proceeds to (pretend to) change various parts of his life while Cher sings “If I Could Turn Back Time.” However, because he still is all of the things he says he’s changing, from the Ed Hardy shirts to the parade of women to the subject of paparazzi’s attention, I’m not sure what the point is. It’s almost as if he’s ridiculing the world for expecting him to actually change. Or maybe it’s just sad.
