People beats TLC’s special announcement episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight with the news that “[d]ocuments to initiate a legal split were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Penn., Monday afternoon,” citing only “a source close to the situation.” Unsurprising, of course, but even if that is an accurate spoiler, that just makes me want to watch tonight’s episode even more, because I want to hear their rationale—and what they plan to do with the kids, if Jon and Kate remember them.
