Remember The Next Joe Millionaire? It turns out that someone was actually watching after all, and that someone was a member of the Parents’ Television Council, those tight-asses who bitch about words like “tight-asses” and “bitch.” The FCC recently rejected 36 complaints from the group, which tries to parent the world by wasting the FCC’s time, had just one complaint—in this batch, at least—about reality TV. That honor went to the Oct. 28 episode of The Next Joe Millionaire, and, according to Salon, “the complaint alleges that a character says ‘fuck off.’” Damn, maybe we should have watched after all. Salon reports, however, that “Based on our review of the tape, however, this description is inaccurate in that no character appears to utter the quoted language.”
