Jersey Shore has its best finale ever, but ratings were down from the season premiere

Jersey Shore had the show’s highest-rated finale yet, but its numbers were down from the record-breaking ratings for its season premiere.

That episode had 8.45 million viewers; Thursday’s finale had 7.6 million viewers, according to MTV. Overall, the third season has been the top “series of the year with [people ages 12 to 34,” MTV said. When those 12-year-olds start applying for The Real World, we’re going to be in trouble.
