Jersey Shore may move to Miami Beach for season two

MTV has officially renewed Jersey Shore for a second season, and has re-signed the original cast for $10,000 an episode.

As reality shows evolve, they inevitably change (especially as the cast becomes more self-conscious and starts performing), but Jersey Shore’s change will make its title irrelevant: the show is abandoning cold New Jersey for a warmer location in order to film the second season sooner. MTV’s press release said the cast will “escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination.”

The Sun-Times Bill Zwecker, who has an unnamed MTV executive as a source, reported that “Los Angeles area communities are also being considered, but Miami Beach is the most likely site.”
