ArchivesAustralia’s Queer Eye cancelled.
Australian’s Channel 10 has cancelled the country’s version of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy after just three episodes. The Herald Sun reports that the series is “considered a poor imitation of the US-produced original,” and says its Wednesday episode “reached just 229,000 viewers in Melbourne and was thumped in its timeslot by local drama McLeod’s Daughters (427,000).” A network spokesperson says the remaining eps will be burned off in the future: “We believe Queer Eye did not get the figures it deserved so we will be running the remaining episodes as a series of specials when the American Queer Eye returns.”
