Archivesfour of Australia’s Fab Five identified.
The Daily Telegraph has identified four of the five men that will soon begin to make over straight guy’s lives down under as part of Australia’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Hopefully they’re not as fugly as the Fab Five LivingTV cast for the British series. The guys: Brendan Wong (design), Will Fennell (grooming), Daniel Scott (culture), and Ryan Andrijich (food). Missing, of course, is their fashion guy. Earlier this year, 15 guys had been identified as finalists but had not heard back from producers. Additionally, the Telegraph reports that “the claws are out in the corporate world as sponsors vie for the sponsorship rights to the show. A catfight between DJs and Myer over the rights to become one big Queer Eye wardrobe in return for priceless repetitive product placement throughout the show, has been won by David Jones, although Myer has retaliated by bringing [Carson] Kressley out to Australia for the Spring Racing Carnival.” Since Carson is already in Australia, and their Fab Five is missing a fashion guy, perhaps the US can negotiate some kind of exchange program and let him stay there, say, forever.
