Argentinian reality TV show will select congressional candidate.
Winners of reality TV shows generally wield little power, unless endorsement deals and appearances on Dog Eat Dog count as “power.” But in Argentina, the winner of The People’s Candidate will walk away with the nomination for “the People’s Party for a seat in the lower house of Congress,” BBC News reports. 16 contestants will compete for the audience’s vote; the winner will be announced on Dec. 1.
