Canada’s U8TV, a year-long reality TV project that finds eight 20-somethigns living in a loft and hosting shows on TV and the web, is looking for new cast members. Those selected get $30,000—and their lives broadcast 24/7 over the web. What kind of person do you have to be to get on the show? U8TV’s president tells The Globe and Mail that last year’s group was “too urbane, too uniformly hip and trendy.” There’s an open casting call today in Toronto, and auditions next week in Vancouver and Calgary.
