Eleven Idol winners will compete in World Idol, airing on Christmas Day.
World Idol’s competitors have been announced. The competition, airing in most nations on Christmas, will feature Kelly Clarkson (the US), Peter Evrard (Belgium), Alicja Janosz (Poland), Diana Karazon (Lebanon), Alexander Klaws (Germany), Jamai Loman (the Netherlands), Ryan Malcolm (Canada), Kurt Nilsen (Norway) Heinz Winckler (South Africa), and Will Young (the UK’s Pop Idol). The winner of Australian Idol will also take part (that will be either Guy or Shannon, and if you think Justin Guarini has crazy hair, you’ve never met Guy, who can host the entire United Nations on his head). In the US the show will air on Dec. 25, at 8 p.m. ET, with the results show airing on New Year’s Day at 9 p.m. ET.
