Thai Big Brother investigated by government because of couple’s behavior.
If you think the tight-ass politicians in the US are frightening, A House committee in Thailand is investigating “improper behaviour” on the Thai version of Big Brother. What was the problem? Two houseguests who “were seen holding hands, touching, hugging and seen lying together on the sofa or sharing a blanket in bed,” the Bangkok Post reports. As chairman Kuthep Saikrachang said, “I don’t understand why they dared to express their love openly before the cameras, or if they were told by the producer to do such a thing in order to get the top TV audience rating.” He warned that “Thai society can’t accept a reality programme like this because it does more harm than good to society.” Even cast member Toto, who was part of the couple in question, “expressed his regret and asked for understanding,” the paper says.
