Big Brother Africa won’t return for a second season. However, producers are creating an Africa-wide Idol-like show. Project Fame will “search for an African music superstar, a person who can not only sing but also perform and play musical instrument as well,” the Accra Mail reports. A total of 16 contestants will compete; 10 will come from South Africa, while the remaining six “will be chosen from the other African countries which includes Malawi, Ghana, Kenya Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.” The 13 week show will start May 26 and end at the end of August.
