Oxygen reality TV exec Vadas may move to CW

The Oxygen network executive responsible for ordering shows such as The Bad Girls Club and Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance will likely become The CW’s new head of reality TV. Kristen Connolly Vadas “is in talks” with the network, Variety reports.

Vadas would replace Jen Bresnan, CBS’ new senior VP for alternative programming, who previously held that job at The CW. She “would report to CW Entertainment [president] Dawn Ostroff,” Variety says, which is a change because Bresnan reported to CBS’ Ghen Maynard, who she replaced. (The CW is owned in part by CBS.)

Having cancelled Beauty and the Geek, The CW has just three reality series right now, although others are in development. Currently airing are its standby America’s Next Top Model, the pretty terrible Stylista, and In Harm’s Way, a knock-off of the tough-jobs shows on Discovery and History.
