The CW’s Jennifer Bresnan becomes CBS’ senior VP for reality programming
Following the departure of CBS’ executive Ghen Maynard earlier this month, CBS has hired Jennifer Bresnan as its senior VP for alternative programming. She’s served an equivalent role at The CW, CBS’ sibling station, for just over two years.
Before working as an executive, she worked as a producer on reality shows such as The Swan, High School Reunion, and the first season of American Idol, and was a supervising producer on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.
CBS’ Nina Tassler said in a statement (reproduced by all of the trades: The Hollywood Reporter, Broadcasting & Cable, Variety) that “Jen’s background in developing and producing reality programming is incredibly diverse, her relationships in the creative community run very deep, and we’re excited for her to start developing all types of programming in the reality genre.”
