Donald Trump launches production company, hires Apprentice 2 contestant Andy to run it

Donald Trump is starting his own production company, and he’s hired one of his current employees—and a former Apprentice 2 contestant—to run it.

Harvard-educated 20-something candidate Andy Litinsky, who was fired in week 12 of the second season for creating a crappy Pepsi bottle and being rude to Pepsi employees, was hired for real by Trump to work on real estate projects. Now he’ll head Trump’s as-yet-unnamed production company. “He’s a very capable guy,” Trump told Variety.

Trump told Variety that he’s moving into show business because “There are so many things being thrown at me, a lot of them based in L.A., I just thought it would be appropriate. It’s a business I like.”

Variety notes that among the company’s first shows will be the “TV take on Monopoly that Trump is developing with R.J. Cutler,” according to Variety.
