Bravo’s Project shows, The Contender score Emmy nominations

The Emmy nominations are in, and that includes the two categories of reality television shows. Now that the Academy has finally gotten the categories right, we have nominees in two major categories and a bunch of sub-categories. With some notable exceptions, such as the addition of , the list is very similar to last year’s nominations.

Here are the nominees, with non-reality show nonfiction programs excluded from this list (see the full list for all nominees):

• Reality Series — Competition: The Amazing Race, American Idol, The Apprentice, Project Runway, and Survivor.
• Outstanding Reality Program: Antiques Roadshow, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Penn & Teller: Bullshit!, Project Greenlight, and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
• Outstanding Cinematography For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera): The Amazing Race, The Contender, and Survivor Palau.
• Outstanding Direction For Nonfiction Programming: American Idol (finale), The Apprentice, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (The Dore Family).
• Outstanding Picture Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single or Multi-Camera): The Amazing Race, The Apprentice, The Contender and two different episodes of Survivor.
• Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera): The Amazing Race
• Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera): The Amazing Race, American Idol, and Survivor.
