Damian Fahey: hosting I’m a Celebrity is “incredible”

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here 2 co-host Damian Fahey, responding to a question I posed on Twitter, said that hosting the show has been “incredible” and said it’s “all good” that people like me dislike the show.

Earlier today, Damian wrote, “Final day working in Costa Rica for “I’m a Celeb…” Leaving for LA tomorrow night. Will be nice to sleep in own bed. BIG FINALE 2Night!!!” Because I was surprised about his optimism over a really low-rated, pretty bad reality show, I responded, “Are you glad this chapter in your life will soon be over? Or is it unclear in Costa Rica how bad the show is?”

Although the hosting is one of the parts of the show that just doesn’t work for me, his response gave me new respect for him. I certainly wouldn’t expect him to criticize his employer, but he also didn’t sidestep the fact that it’s not exactly a hit with all viewers. Damian wrote, “This gig has been incredible! Too bad you don’t like the show. All good though. Diff strokes for diff folks.”
