The third version of the UK’s I’m a Celebrity—Get Me Out of Here, which crashed and burned in the US last year, has announced its cast, and it includes former Sex Pistols rocker Johnny Rotten. Rumors of his appearance prompted a Guardian columnist to write, “Whatever happened to punk rock, maaaaan?” The other cast members on the show, which starts Monday, include “Jennie Bond, Mike Read and George Best’s estranged wife Alex,” plus “former pop star Peter Andre, retired BBC royal reporter Jennie Bond, former athlete Diane Modahl, insurance fraudster aristocrat Lord Brocket, TV presenter Kerry McFadden and former footballer Neil Ruddock,” The Guardian reports. The cast is refusing to take drug tests, according to Voice of the People. Eating bugs on national television is apparently nowhere near as humiliating as peeing in a cup. Also, Ananova reports that the German I’m a Celebrity “has been exposed as a con,” saying that the location “is also near a busy road, and rather than being exposed to the elements is under a giant tarpaulin to keep out rain. The area was also cleaned by staff to make sure no dangerous animals like spiders and snakes were left behind.” However, animals were also cleared out for the upcoming UK version, and the US version’s stars were also covered with a tarp.
