Ice Road Truckers will reunite

Capitalizing on the success of its new series Ice Road Truckers, the History Channel will bring back the truckers for a two-episode reunion, and air another one-hour special about ice roads.

On August 26, the network will air “The Ice Road: Then and Now,” which is “a one-hour special on the history of ice roads,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. On both Sept. 2 and 9, it will air “a two-part reunion special” called “Ice Road Truckers: Off the Ice.”

The show’s regular season finale airs August 19. It “has been averaging about 3 million total viewers every Sunday night since its June 17 premiere, according to Nielsen Media Research,” the paper says.
