I Love New York 2 contestant convicted of first-degree murder

I Love New York 2 cast member Jamal Trulove was convicted of first-degree murder yesterday, and will be sentenced March 19 to up to 50 years in prison.

He “put his head down and wept after the jury returned the verdict of murder and of being a felon with a firearm in the July 23, 2007, slaying of Seu Kuka, 28, in the city’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood,” The San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The paper says that his “conviction was based on the testimony of an eyewitness, who said she was ‘100 percent’ sure Trulove was the gunman” after seeing him on VH1 a few months later; she “said about 25 people saw what happened, but she alone testified” and “is now in a witness protection program.”
