The Ship, a miniseries tracing an historic voyage, debuts tonight.
Forty men and women will “relive an 18th-century voyage of Captain James Cook aboard an exact replica of Cook’s ship, the Endeavour,” according to the show’s web site.
Their voyage starts tonight on the History Channel at 9 p.m. ET; it airs for two hours for each of three nights.
The show’s producer tells The Washington Post, “It’s not a game. Sailing is hard and means teamwork. … While this was a real adventure, I don’t consider it a reality show.”
