ArchivesPBS will film, air Texas Ranch House.
Although the producer of the UK House series said that Regency House Party might be the last produced by Wall to Wall and Channel Four, PBS is stepping up to the plate and producing a series of their own. Over eight episodes, Texas Ranch House “will follow a cast of 20 as they experience life in the Old West. Participants will ranch, rope, ride and pass nights under the stars, duplicating what it was like to be an American cowboy in post-Civil War Texas,” the Houston Chronicle reports. Set to debut next spring, it will film this summer in east Texas; applications will be available Feb. 1 at pbs.org.
